My personal preference is a drive over pile. Asphalt is fine but requires a good base just like concrete, don’t skimp on that or it will break up. That being said, if your main issue with bags is rodents and birds but otherwise like bags, there is an easy fix. Protexia makes silage bags with a repellent blended into the plastic that repells rodents and birds. They are a bit more expensive but wasted feed isn’t cheap either.
