South Central MN | Top links have the ability to grow legs and wander off, I think my operation is supposed to have 4 links between 3 of the old IH tractors that I have, but darned if I can find more than two at a time. Reason for the extra was one always hung out with the corn cultivator but that one seems to have found its way into the general population of the other top links. The 886 one is also smaller from the rest (Cat 2 vs. 3) and is the only one that works on the spreader for cover crop seed. If I want to use that spreader on a different tractor I have to go find it and probably take it off the 886. I think I found one in the shed at our other farm site, don't know how it got that far.
Have another IH tractor that has a quick attach married to it, only time it would have been off is when the tractor went to the dealer for repairs. Can't lose that top link! | |
