| It’s a fairly typical southern Wisconsin former stanchion dairy barn. It’s probably a bit larger than the average built back in the day, but as another poster said, if one keeps the roof on them, they should last a few lifetimes. Not sure when the barn was built, but I was told the stanchions were installed in 1905.
Just got done removing a portion of the stanchions, I’m working on a minor remodel to house a few feeders like in the pic, only more long term. I’ll try to remember to get a few pics of it.
