If I am understanding you, you want to put down fertilizer every 38" with the drill, and leave the spaces in between for soybeans. I don't think you will be able to get enough down the tube to make it work. One meter will most likely not meter enough fertilizer. Some kind of strip till applicator would work better for this. Are you planning on relay cropping the soybeans then? I like your out of the box thinking, but I think you will need another plan.
