Im really amazed at the amount of people on here that have so many issues with vet pregnancy checking. I can see if they are missing pregnancies 45 days or under if they aren't palpating on a regular basis, however there are a lot of vets that get down to 30 -32 on palpation alone for dairies. Yes palpation becomes difficult around the 4-5 month range as the uterus falls deeper off the pelvic brim, but there is still a huge difference between being able to palpate the entirety of the open uterus and having a 4 month pregnancy where the entire uterus was clearly not palpated. If you like your vet and you think this is a common issue I would ask them to be double checking opens on blood they are either gonna prove their worth or not. If its not that common maybe they just misspoke. Otherwise I'd be looking for another vet if you choose to stay that route.
