Subject: RE: Nitrogen stabilizers

South Central MN
I have someone custom sidedress my corn, and the guy who helps him out with the agronomy side likes the humic acid in liquid N to help stabilize, doesn't have to hold the N for a very long time while still allowing for better plant uptake, have heard of it helping with other nutrient availability as well. The humic is also cheap compared to some other N stabilizers, so better opportunity for a positive ROI. (The studies he has done with it showed it outperforming Instinct thiosulfate, and CetaiN.)

When planting I use some 12-0-0-26 in the 2X2 mix, as well as a little humic, some of my fields test med. low for sulfur so that is why I have been adding it, the stabilization is just an extra bonus.
