Northeast Nebraska
Not that it hasn't happened before, but with the Spencer, NE dam failing, half of Niobrara is gone. Saw a video as the water broke the Mormon bridge loose and carried it away like a floating log. It was a concrete and steel bridge.
Other towns in the area:
Santee is without power and under water, could be days before power is back and with the nature of the town there's not a generator there.
Bloomfield had half the town under water. Coop, vet, lumberyard, fairgrounds, and part of CVA. Several neighborhoods were evacuated, but the water has gone down quite a bit.
Osmond had a flooded Main Street and a few neighborhoods. Some houses were flooded.
I drove on hwy 81 yesterday afternoon and every stock dam that's been there every since I can remember was running over the spillway or failed.
Just a "perfect storm" scenario with snow, ice, frozen ground, and warm rain.
