I would think lending institutions and businesses supplying the ag industry would be screaming louder than farmers if insurance subsidy were cut. No premium subsidy would mean no revenue insurance sold. Catastrophic policy only. Probably moving awAy from subsidized insurance would further consolidation and may lower food costs temporarily but would eventually lead to them climbing much higher. Not good for consumer, but prolly better for producer.
