Kingston,Mi | Mid June in 1967 I attended freshman orientation at Michigan State University, there was a pile of snow where the parking lot for the Breslin Center that was as large as a football field and 20 feet high. That winter of 1966-67 they had a significant snow season and kids being kids, started to jump from the roofs of the dorms in the Brody Complex. These dorms are 4 story units built in the 1950's. The snow was deep enough that the landing was mostly uneventful except where the bike racks where completely covered. A few people found the bike racks the hard way with a couple breaking their back. | |
