May be obvious, but you will probably want to introduce that area of the engine to a pressure washer before you start cracking open the inj. pump. If you get the lid off and you see what looks like coffee grounds in there you may as well pull it off and take it to a pump shop to get the governor ring replaced. The stuff you see is from it coming apart. Good luck!
