South Dakota | We have this saying in the Marines “embrace the suck.” Part of that means just planning on things sucking and get over it. That’s a change in mindset that I’ve taken this year where I just went into it saying, “I’m not going to stress cause I accept that March and April will suck.” In my mind I’ve already planned on getting very little done as far as field work or cattle workduring that time. I’ve just accepted that is going to be a terrible time of year and it’s made things way better. The other 10 months of the year makes this short period of “suck” all worth it. Hope that helps, maybe it doesn’t, but it helped me.
