| udder isnt small. has a nice udder. raised a big calf last year. calf was born on cool wet cloudy windy day. was sick by the next day. we got him to nursing a bottle. so hopefully tomorrow we can get him to figure the nursing thing out. any tricks to get him going on that? also whats the best way to make sure he isnt nursing when we arent watching him? should we separate him and the momma and then turn them in with each other every several hours and see if we can watch him nurse? we cant watch them 24/7 to try to catch him nursing. cow is penned separately from everyone else. know one is nursing her. eats and drinks normal. | |
