Subject: RE: Batteries in new pickups

Southeast Washington
I haven't looked at group 31 batteries at Costco. I don't know if I have even seen them at our Costco. I buy those more local to me. Their batteries have usually been a battery by Johnson Controls and have lasted well. Seven years of starting a duramax in rugged climate conditions in a pickup that is a farm pickup that isn't a daily driver and then have 16 months remaining of warranty that I wasn't even aware of isn't too bad of a battery. The batteries didn't owe me anything for starting dependably for that length of time.

As to the OP I didn't think of the engines that shut down at a stop. We have all 3/4-1 ton pickups that don't do that and that wasn't mentioned.
