There was a documertsry on this Bummer and Co. forced all the lead mines to close. So no new battery supply unless its imported .

X2!!!!!!!!!!!

What may also be causing prices to rise is the lack of lead recycling companies. I know of at least one that was in Texas for a long time. It was located in a town where no new neighborhoods were right up against it. But as the town grew, developers started planning for as many houses as could be built on old farms. They went right ahead and built them all close to the battery recycling company. In no time at all, angry homeowners began attacking the existence of such a company in their town. But that company had been there for decades. It didn’t just pop up overnight and show up near them. Strange how facts don’t register with some folks. Eventually the town council did their part in sealing the fate of what they considered to now be an unwanted and unimportant business in town. The company closed its doors after declaring bankruptcy.
