Subject: RE: Antique Watch Value?

St.Clair Co. IL.
Yea I too have several that have been handed down, and they aren't worth much unless it is gold or silver, everyone carried a pocket watch way back when, the one I have, my grandpa carried it has two small dents in it, when Dad was still alive he told me Grandpa took a load of hogs to town and bought the watch with some of the money, Grandma was MAD that he spent the money on something like that!! the dents came from once he fell off a wagon and was run over by the wheel, thus the dents, still runs and guess it will just keep being handed down in the family.
Probably just search the internet and get a idea what folks are ASKING for their's, asking is not bought value, might even go to a flea market and see what those folks are asking.
good luck
Bob
