80 acres all tillable. No tile, Hasnt been in row crop production since 1996 CSR2 rating of 58-9. Been in grass that whole time. 4800/acre. They no saled it at the auction. They wanted 6500. Mennonite had the last bid.


If it has been in grass the last 23 years, was it hay, pasture or CRP. If $8 corn didn't bring it out of production, todays prices aren't going to do it. Sounds like they have something between pasture ground and rough tillable ground, that they want the price of decent tillable ground for. They are 5 or 6 years too late on getting high value out of the marginal ground.
