Central Nebraska | Mud Dauber - 3/13/2019 03:35 We have a hp running Windows 7 Home Premium, its soul purpus is to operate Blue Irus and barn cameras. Just sitting here watching a cow calving to determine whether to help or not when Windows decided to download and install an update no darn reason for this, it runs fine without. My question is, what specifically do I do to stop these updates? Having wireless cameras can I discount it from the internet and still have cameras working? Thanks.
We can disconnect it from the internet by creating some firewall rules but at that time doing ANY remote work is going to be challenging. I'm going to caution you from disabling updates. I understand there is a large following on AgTalk that hates updates because "they break things" but the primary purpose of updates is to protect your computer. I've installed thousands of updates and can count the number that have cause issues. |
