Subject: RE: Sprayer tips and speed questions

Leesburg, Ohio
When we moved from a tractor and large pull-type sprayer to a self-propelled Deere 4730, my dealer said I would be spraying at 17 mph. I said no way! I was used to going 6-9 mph, and getting the snot beat out of me. He rode with me on my first trip across the field in the 4730. It seemed like we were going awfully slow, and I didn't yet know where to automatically look to read speed, or how to shift without looking at the buttons. He said, "OK, shift up with that button. Now look at your speed over there..." We were going 17 mph, and it felt like we were doing about 5 mph in the tractor.

We use 110 degree red or blue tips.
