NW Illinois Stephenson county | Nice picture and memory. I was never able to buy a new tractor but my Dad did in 1946 after farming one year with horses after he got out of the army. I still have the A and it runs good after I had the carb rebuilt. The rebuilders said it was the worst worn out carb they had ever seen. My granddad bought a new 1929 JD D. I still have that one too, but it is stuck and the rims are rusted and need replacement along with the tires (it originally was on steel). Pic is Dad driving it home from downtown Freeport, Illinois.
