Subject: RE: Fence row nozzles on self-propelled sprayer

Floyd County, Iowa
My definition of a fence line nozzle is one that sprays the grass area in the fence line, beyond the area that is tilled.
I had a co-op spray my bean fields once, using glyphosate and select. They used theirs on one fence line where they saw some giant rags coming in. Fools!! Killed the grass and then the weeds came in thick.
I always go around my borders with either the Ranger with a sprayer and a home made fence row boom or an old 3 pt sprayer and wand, using 2,4-d, Crossbow, or Grazon for weeds. The grass will keep weeds down pretty good, but killing the grass is a weed disaster, IMO.
