Subject: 2 threads tonight on employee wages, time off and work ethic

East Arkansas
Not blaming the OPs or any of the responders but if this is the state we are in currently in regard to employees we as an industry and country are screwed.

What I gather from the threads is that the going rate is 30-50 per hour and the employees should not have to work on weekends or do any ^^^^ work and should have 3-4 weeks vacation. After the employer does all this the employee may or may not want to show up if they have problems with their wife or kids.

My area does not support wages of 70-100k per year for equipment operators, besides I hear guys on here talk about how they live on 20k a year. Why is anyone farming if a guy with no responsibilities or education can make this kind of money.

If this is even close to true I have serious concerns about our businesses going into the future.. Bring on the AI robots I guess!
