Put it on the porch and run it with an extension cord. Fill with buckets of water. That won't pressure test the fill valves, but it will let you watch for a leak at the tub and pump.

I've never worked on a speed queen. Based on my experience with washers, you can run it with the cabinet off(whirlpool), or the front panel off(GE). Your mileage may vary.
