SC MN | The hog world requires an earlier start than some other ag sectors. The outside world expects us to have our stuff ready when they decide to open. For example, hog packers might start the kill line at 7am or maybe 8am. They expect to have pigs at the plant, waiting to be killed, at that time. Which means that they have to get loaded and transported earlier in the day.
Also, lots of daycares require pickup at 4:00-4:30, so you can't get an 8 hour workday in if you start at 8, for example. | |
