| Are they late because they don’t care? I’m related to someone that’s chronically late for everything, any time of day. No fixing that other than deal with it or fire them.
Or are they late because of other obligations like kids? I have farrow-finish as well, so I understand some things have to be done at a certain time or when everyone is there at the same time. Things like powerwashing and processing litters though, it really doesn’t matter what time of day it happens as long as it gets done. So some places you could maybe offer them some flexibility on their hours. My wife works overnight 2 nights a week, so the morning when she’s getting off work it’s a bit later before I get to the farm, and it’s a bit earlier when I go home the afternoons when she goes in. That’s so we don’t have to do the daycare thing. | |
