Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question or not, but here goes.
One of my landlords passed on this past week. He was not only a landlord but also a good friend and neighbor. We rode the school bus together many years ago.
My question concerns the land rent, It's due next Friday.
He has a son that lives nearby also (lives on the same farm as his dad did) who I am planning on taking the check to.
My question is how do I make out the check? I'm thinking in the deceased's name.....but wondering if I should put the word "estate" behind his name.
Just curious how this needs to be handled. |
