Great History Lesson on a wet cold Saturday.  Your post caused me to do a little research that interests me.  Thanks for Sharing. 

Lets expand your thought a little to this young mans father.  Montgomery C Meigs who is buried right next to his son.

He was an engineer that is interesting in his works that he is responsible for. Like the Founder of Arlington National Cemetery.
