Subject: Preparing for the awful week ahead. Opinions welcome

Could see up the 3 inches of rain Saturday through Thursday according to one source here in Iowa. Brought home my last 25 stalk bales. Bedded down my pole building hoping calves just hang out in there and don’t bother coming out till Friday. Lol. Moved the cows into a separate lot that’s easier to check. It doesn’t have a lot of shelter so I’ll have to check every two hours or so, but I’m doing that anyway. I figured moving them away from the pairs would allow more good open somewhat dry space for the little guys. Got some baytril and scour tabs stocked up to. This is challenging especially with no help. What you all think of my plan. I’m considering lining up two stock trailers where the breds are for a bit more break. I hate cold rain but in a sense I’m glad we’re finally gonna start getting rid of some snow. At some point it’s gotta go, might as well just start the insanity.
