Subject: Collecting rainwater for spraying?

NW IA
Does anyone have a setup that works for collecting rainwater off a 80x120 shed roof? My math shows that 1" of rain will be about 6000 gallons. The roof has gutters and downspouts currently and I plan to fill a semi tanker parked beside the shed and below a retaining wall so the the top of the tank is lower than the shed floor. I'm mostly concerned with the first flush of water that comes off the roof containing leaves and other stuff. I'm thinking that I'll need a some sort of a screen or self cleaning type filter going into the tanker, then an inline filter before the pump coming back out of the tanker. I also would like to plumb the tanker into the shed somehow to use the water for washing machinery. Any experience or advice?

Thanks
