In a lighter tillage situation it will take 5 tons of gypsum to lower your 40% mg to 20%. In a deep tillage situation it will take around 7.5 tons of gypsum to lower your Mg to 20%.

However your Ca May not currently be high enough to make it work. The numbers you gave us indicate that your Ca may only be at 47% right now

And yes this is assuming you have good drainage
