Iowa | I'm just a corn farmer in iowa.. I'm trying to learn more about gluten intolerance from the AG side. Seems like I hear of a new Celiac diagnosis from a friend all the time. With all the push back and bodies rejecting wheat and consumer choice (even if they aren't intolerant), I bet this problem isn't going to go away for wheat farmers. I'm sure some of you think it's bogus, but when they cut wheat out of their diet, they feel better. I know there is no GMO wheat, I've read that much, but are there other farming practices that would have changed how some humans handle wheat? Wheat is an agrarian product humans have been eating for millennia, what's changed?
