If it is a cow and not a first calf heifer, does it really need a calf grafted on it? Should be fine to just rebreednand keep going next year if you’re really wanting to keep the cow? What does everyone think.
And yes I’d say up to 7 days after not being milked she’ll take a new calf, we give the cow xylazine, cover the cows nose and calf in O no More and put them in a 10ft pen with alfalf flakes and grain. Usually have success, If not, we gobble and leave in a chute for a day, then we have success.
