| If your going to feed them some grain, make sure to feed them gravel or have gravel available close by. It takes grit to make their gizzard work.
Its a good use of any spilled grain mixed with gravel or dirt.
They can survive pretty well in deep snow cause they burrow down and make themselves a nice warm snow cave.
On the farm always had hens roost in the lilac bushes, not 8' from where I lay my head. Kids always had 20 cats around the outside only of the house. They must coexist somehow
