Centralia, MO | We had a leghorn rooster who by all accounts had every right to chase me and the neighbor. All I had to do was walk past the chicken pen and he would pace me and put on a show. I walked past it a lot.
Well one afternoon mom decided to gather the eggs and all dad and I could hear was mom screaming that she couldn’t get out of the chicken coop.
No harm came to the rooster that day but mom never gathered the eggs again. He actually passed about a year later when him and a hawk got into a fight. Neither of them walked away. | |
