ESW ND | We had a "Sandvigs"(farm store) chick years ago that turned out to be a rooster. That old boy had some spurs on him. He would fight if provoked. He punched a hole in the base of a 5 gallon bucket. I couldn't believe it. He was around for 8 years or so. He was being cocky from the other side of the fence one day while we were grinding feed. He was doing his rooster thing, picking at the ground giving me that side look like, come on in I got something for ya. He did this a couple more times, pretty soon he stood up, got this weird look in his eyes and fell over dead. I'm pretty sure I witnessed a chicken heart attack. I felt bad for him for a brief moment, but he was an a-hole. | |
