What are you trying to achive by figuring this? I can give you a bunch of right answers. It all depends on what you want to prove. The 21 day cycle is all about when they got bred not when they calve.


There are industry benchmarks. Lets say "66% calved out in the first cycle."
Which births do you include in that? Where is the end of the first cycle? 21 days ftom the 286 day gestation date or 21 days from the first born on.

If guy doesn't compare his herd statistics to at least the industry benchmarks he will never try to improve on anything.
