what i do , once in a while fill the largest pot we have ( big canner ) , fill with water to a boil and pour down the kitchen sink ( stainless double sink )
boiling water seems to clear any grease / crud from the line
worked so slick i decided it should work in the bathroom as well for a slow drain
poured it down the bathroom sink and split that porcelain sink in half, water freakin every where !
wife said you ain't just replacing the sink!
rest of the story is, new floor, new vanity and double sinks, new exhaust fan, new toilet , backsplash, walls and ceiling painted
new feed lines and new drains , new closet doors , new taps ( ouch on that one ! )
up-side of the whole mess is, kitchen and bathrooms drains are clear
bob

Would have been way cheaper to call a plumber in that case, mama gets what she wants.
