Tablerock Ranch eastern Wa | Sept-mid November tag every calf, hate it seems like there should be a better way, Reason for tagging is moving cows to separate breeding pastures Dec 1, groups of 125 and need to pair them up with calf, big job with tag --imposable without-- could ignore and random tag at that time and turn back on mom with random number and then record calf to cow number when they pair back up but then you would be pairing them out of a number in a book instead of by sight, its all a frigging PITA so we catch calves first three days and the Rodeo begins ! |
