WY, OK | $10K max for an AU.
$400 for 6 months, which means it is $800/yr, at 30 years is $24K if I understand correctly but I never figure it on a 30 year note basis. Only per AU at purchase price. One can play games with a loan all they want to make the figure appear "right". So what is the actual purchase price per AU?
At $10K or less as long as you have the herd paid for and a good base of paid land you can keep buying in this current environment. I'm looking at expanding another 40% on some stuff near by that will come in at $5K an AU, will actually just be hay ground and can expand the herd on the home place. Then can have some winter pasture for calves should I want to hold them over. Or in a dry year can still maintain my minimum number needed to stay afloat. | |
