No but your comparison is not valid. These statues are representing the people who were fighting for that area.

BTW, the south did not attack the northern territory. They fired on Fort Sumpter, which was part of the south. The North invaded the southern geography.

The whole thing is incestuous. Very few know that William T. Sherman was the first Superintendent of the institution that would grow up to be LSU. He resigned with Louisiana seceded. Lee was Washington's ancestor. Neither of these Generals wanted war. Lincoln pushed them both into it. In the end, a united states was a better thing but it should never have come to shots.
