I agree with you but I doubt if many here will. I don't think that the statues belong on the grounds of state buildings. When you think about it why were some of the southern states flying the rebel flag over their statehouses? The southerners may have been Americans but they were fighting to be removed from the United States. They lost and apparently have never accepted that fact. I really don't care but they probably shouldn't have been erected on public property in the first place. I know a number of people who display the rebel flag and every one of them seems to look for ways to rebel against government rules all the way from federal to local. Therefore the flag or statues probably shouldn't be on government grounds. Just watch we will get roasted for this idea.
