Maybe ask a different attorney for a second opinion?  Honestly.  Different legal minds may have different ideas on how to get something done.  Your attorney needs to be able to explain to you why his suggestion is the best - or at least appropriate - for your situation.  If he can't.... maybe it's time for a change..... So, maybe you need to be asking - is this person the right attorney for us at this time?   I am not suggesting shopping for an attorney that will do what you want to do.  But I am suggesting finding an attorney that you can trust their judgement. If you can't trust their judgement, you need to look elsewhere.
