Hello west
I too am a diabetic, but type 2

A post like yours makes me mad, because
There are people out there that are supposed
To help you figure this out....but they don't !!!

Look at needymeds
Then patient assistance

As for what you are doing now...you need
To get medical clearance on this

You can get a "generic" lantus, it is basaglar.
Lilly makes it, they have a card program
That also includes self pay...so does
Lantus, but still a couple hundred.
But, getting back to Lilly...if you were "uninsured"
(Such as medi-share)...the BASAGLAR is
$65 a box.

As far the regular insulin, you could perhaps
Use relion at Walmart at $25 a vial.

The syringes at Walmart are fairly good
Priced at less than $14 a box.

Test strips at Walmart (relion) $17.88 for
A box of 100 (and it was in the top 5 as
Most accurate).

You might look at diathrive.com
They are as cheap or cheaper on
Test strips, and free shipping.
Also, the pen needles there are
$11 a box...free shipping !!

As for medi-share...the only one
That covers pre-existing at day
1 is Christian Healthcare ministry.

But...lower levels for several years.

If you research, there are others
That after 1 year will cover at 100
percent.

I personally went with them...some
Things I don't like....but my
BCBS went to $675 a month...and
$6500 deductable...so almost
$14,000 before they pay a penny.

Now, $180 a month, no cap, and
I can "share" medical bills over
$500.

I wish the best for you
