Devils Lake, ND | Talk to your provider about international options; you should be able to buy a 1-month upgrade for cheap. A quick look at the US Cellular website suggests you will at least have the ability to text (with an intl plan.) I bet you'll be fine with calling as well.
And email will be g2g when you have wifi for sure. When I travel internationally, I tell folks ahead of time that email will always work.
