south central IL | Alternator quit charging on pickup. 190000 miles far as I know first alternator. Put reman one on and it wouldn’t charge. Unplugged small wire and pugged back in it started charging. Next day Charged batteries with battery charger. Next time drove it it wouldn’t charge. Unplug , plug back in ,started charging. Always unplugging and plugging in with engine running. Doing same thing over and over. SOMETIMES when I shut truck off with it charging and restart immediately it will charge sometimes not, Bad reman alternator or problem with something else on truck? | |
