Subject: Corn Planter Fertilizer Evolution

SCWisconsin

I’m curious; (Mainly Deere Planters in my case, but all colors apply)
The last several years I have noticed tons of single disc openers, John Blue pumps, tanks, etc. coming off of planters and placed in Classifieds. What are you doing 'now' regarding fertilizer application, and why the switch?

I think I know a number of the answers, but would like to hear directly from source(s).

Me:
I’m a small operator. (So I have the time for monkeying around).
1) Broadcast dry in fall
2) Planting: Two piston pumps, two tanks on my 1770NT. One system for 2x 2, and the other for in furrow. Good shape regarding liquid tenders, and pumps.
(Bean planter I’m using an AgXcel for in furrow).
3) Side Dress w/Raven

I’m always willing to listen to ideas.
