Ask around and you might find a group locally that works on old clocks.

I have a cousin that is into clocks.
We are a long way from you but I might be able to get in touch with him to see what he would recommend or if he knows anyone in Australia that is into old clocks.

Clean and a LITTLE oil might be a good start but one thought I would have is the spring could be getting tired.
Just guessing as I do not have any experience with a clock like that.
