Subject: RE: Homemade bread knife/slicer

SW Michigan

Electric knife. Of the several I've tried, I like the cheap one from Walmart the best. I bake the bread, let it cool overnight and slice it the next day and freeze any extra. Much easier to slice after sitting a bit. If you want to avoid a hard crust, put it in a plastic bag before it is completely cool.

If you don't want an electric knife, the long, serrated knife from Cutco works pretty well.
