Subject: RE: airline tickets

Westport, IN
If you are not fluent or airport savvy, try to make connections in the US, or at least in English speaking country and land in your final destination of at all possible.
Long layover stink, but missing flight sucks. I don't think a four hour layover is too long when clearing customs and changing terminal.
I pretty much exclusive with Delta, but others are good to. Lufthansa is nice, but as my experiences with foreign flights, the flight announcements will be repeated in English. But I find it hard to understand them with their accent over the intercom.

Edit to add
Buy tickets directly from airline, unless you frequently use third party, example Orbitz. If you make changes, or flight delays airlines can do much more for you, if you bought your ticket directly from the airline.
