Subject: RE: Track versus tires on planter tractor

Clark, SD
I've got 2 track tractors and wouldn't be without them, I love them for planting. Currently have one with 18 inch tracks and one with 24 inch tracks, the smaller the track size the more that it will berm in the corners. I strongly disagree with the other guy, tracks are much smoother in the field then a wheeled tractor and they are a little rougher on the road unless it's an rt. As for planting into the tracks, I really don't thinks its that big of a deal, the tracks are really light on their feet. I've been in places planting with mine and my 1770ccs will be sinking in and the tractor wont even leave a set of tracks.
