Subject: RE: Pressure gauges on sections

What is your bar size, number of knives, highest application rate, and application speed?

I'm running numbers with Wilger's spreadsheet based on guesses, but I'm nowhere near the top end of what you can shove through a Wilger, and Red Balls are similar if not the same.

I'm penciling a rate of 30gpa at 7mph, 30" spacing with using 32%. That comes out to 1.22 gpm or 73.2gph and that's nowhere near the max of 8 gpm that the Wilger's are capable of based on the spreadsheet.

It looks like the Veriflow's are only capable of 1.5 gpm?

Another possible option would to put a pressure gauge as close to each knife as possible and watch on the ends as you turn. If a row drops pressure more slowly than any others, it's probably plugged. We do something similar with NH3.
